TOYOTA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL TAMWORTH KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND

Toyota Country Music Festival
This weekend, country music fans will flock to Tamworth for the first weekend of the annual Toyota Country Music Festival (TCMF), which runs from 18-27 January. It's Australia's largest music festival and rated in the top 10 in the world, attracting over 300,000 visitors across 10 days, with over 700 artists featured in 2,800 scheduled events across 120 venues. There are over 600 buskers in the main street alone, creating a vibrant festival.

Over 70 per cent of the TCMF shows are free, with a number of ticketed events too. This year music fans can enjoy performances from Australian and international artists including such big names as Keith Urban, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole and Troy Cassar-Daley.

The pinnacle event of the festival is the Golden Guitars — the Country Music Awards of Australia, when the who's who of Australian country music gathers with country music fans to see who will win the famous Golden Guitar Awards.

The Toyota Country Music Festival is proudly supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
