Member for Murray Austin Evans said the three-day conference will provide the perfect opportunity to clearly demonstrate Barooga and the Murray region’s business event capabilities to high-profile delegates.
“With our fresh local produce, beautiful national parks and sandy riverside beaches, we are delighted that the spotlight will be on Barooga next year as delegates from around the country gather for the SEGRA Conference,” Mr Evans said.
“With most delegates travelling from outside the region, securing this event means more heads on hotel beds, diners in restaurants and visitors to our tourist attractions.
In fact, the conference is set to deliver 750 bed nights for Barooga mid-week, which will be an enormous injection for the local economy.”
The conference will be held from 19–23 August, 2019.
