| The River Hotel |
The River Hotel, right on the bank of the Mekong River, is located between the Town Centre of Nakhon Phanom and the University.
All The River Hotel rooms are designed to encourage complete relaxation. Each room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful Mekong River and towards the hills of Laos.
There were plenty of facilities in my room that made for a very pleasant stay. The LCD TV had free to air and cable stations to enjoy watching before having a restful nights sleep on the very comfortable king size spring bed. There were a small refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom had a large shower space with a rain head shower. There is complimentary Wi-fi internet in all parts of the hotel. A very helpful staff person helped me connect my laptop to the internet when I had trouble with my laptop settings. There was also a private safe, workbench and chair.
Various styles of guest rooms are available at The River Hotel.
River Mountain View Rooms are on the first floor and are designed in such a modern way that there are scenic views of the Mountains and the Mekong River.

River Sky View rooms are on the second to the fifth floors and have views of the Mekong River and the open sky above.
River Paradise Suites are extra large and are ideal for families. The living room is separated from the bedroom.
The River Honeymoon Suite is the perfect place for couples to relax.
Meals can be enjoyed at the River Bar & Restaurant either inside or on the balcony, where wines can be paired with delicious Thai, Chinese and Fusion food. It is located at the front of the Hotel, and there is live music every night. It is open from 10.30am to midnight.
The River Spa is a place to relax the mind and body with massages by Spa experts. The River Spa, located on the second floor, offers Thai massage, aromatherapy massage, milk scrub and other services.
Meetings, seminar and parties can be organized at the River Heritage, an authentic Thai wood house, equipped with modern facilities. It can accommodate more than 200 people, with conference rooms, meeting rooms and karaoke rooms.

Each morning I enjoyed my breakfast served at the River Restaurant. It was buffet style, with a selection of delicious cold and hot dishes, some cooked freshly on the spot after my choice was made.
The River Spa is a place to relax the mind and body with massages by Spa experts. The River Spa, located on the second floor, offers Thai massage, aromatherapy massage, milk scrub and other services.
