Ko Phangan Colourmoon Festival 2018
The annual ‘Ko Phangan Colourmoon Festival 2018’ will be held from 23 to 27 April at the HMS Phangan Memorial Museum near the island’s Thong Sala Pier.

Under the theme, ‘Melody of Life’, the event is aimed at showcasing the variety of music genres, ranging from Reggae, Jazz, Disco, Electronic dance to local folk music that can be found and enjoyed on Ko Phangan while enhancing awareness of the unique local way of life on the island.

The five-day festival will feature a range of fun and meaningful activities on over 1,000-square-metre of event space, including various displays on the island’s local way of life and travel and hospitality booths, as well as an exhibition on the history of Ko Phangan in the shipboard museum.

This year, the festival’s contests and competitions will take local and international visitors to the next level of extravaganza experiences. Be prepared to be amazed by beautiful photographs that tell the story of Ko Phangan, the most creative body paint designs, the innovative fashion designs, and many more. In line with this year’s theme, a new highlight – an ecstatic dance will be held alongside competitions for DJ Mix, Thai folk song singing, and even beautiful melody by songbirds.

Moreover, there’ll be an international fishing game, a competition to find the ‘Best Thai Southern Chef’, a Surat Thani’s local food fair, and a local fair selling indigenous Thai products.

Ko Phangan Colourmoon Festival 2018 is jointly organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ko Phangan Hotels Association, Surat Thani Provincial Administration Organisation, Suratthani Province Office of Tourism and Sport, Provincial Community Development Office of Surat Thani, and partners from the public and private sector as well as the local people of Ko Phangan.
