“This award is testament to the fact that, despite increased competition, the Gold Coast continues to shine as Australia's number one family holiday destination.
“The Gold Coast's family travel offering truly is unsurpassed anywhere else in Australia,” Martin explained. “Our family-focused resorts and attractions continue to dominate the field, while our beaches and hinterland continue to capture the imagination of those, young and old.”
Over 4,100 people voted in the 2015 Australian Traveller People's Choice Awards. The Awards were announced earlier this week at a function in Sydney.
This year, the Gold Coast was also named Australia's Best Beach Holiday Destination in the Out & About with Kids 2015 Best of Family Travel Awards. Click here to read the full release.
