Nestled alongside the Murray River and famous for its natural beauty, Albury is now positioning itself as an arts and culture hub that is home to top-quality food and wine.   • Specialising in fresh local produce, Green Zebra prides itself on a paddock to plate philosophy, using produce handpicked from its own garden as much as possible.   • One of the newest and funkiest restaurants in Albury, Brick Lane Restaurant and Bar is located in the heart of Albury’s main street and offers outdoor and balcony seating, perfect for summer and a cosy fireplace for winter
  • Located within one of the oldest buildings in Albury that was once a butchers shop, The Proprietor is a modern café serving ‘farm-to-fork’ produce in an industrial-styled sleek space with subway tiles and hanging lights. The one menu, served for breakfast and lunch, is packed with ingredients sourced from the backyards and paddocks of local gardeners and farmers, ensuring true seasonality and locality.

Albury Botanic Gardens
  • The city’s newest attraction is the exciting Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA). Unlike anything experienced before in the region, MAMA is a contemporary art experience showcasing local, national and international exhibitions. With an emphasis on interactive workshops and immersive cultural experiences, MAMA cements Albury as a major arts and cultural destination
  • Explore the Wagirra Trail and Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk on-foot or by bike along the banks of the Murray River. The 15 kilometre (return) Murray River pathway links Wonga Wetlands with the South Albury Trail. The two-metre wide walking and cycling pathway meanders through Albury's riverside parks, with plenty of places to stop for a picnic or enjoy the spectacular views. The newest addition is the Yindymarra Sculpture Walk, a leisurely five kilometre trail featuring eleven sculptures created by local Indigenous artists Bonegilla Migrant Experience is a National Heritage listed attraction housed in historic buildings once used as an Army Camp during the Second World War and later as Australia’s largest and longest operating migrant reception centre. Visitors can walk around the park and learn first-hand about the site’s interesting migrant history 
  • Enjoy the serenity cruising along the Murray River on a self-drive River of Islands Houseboat. The perfect escape to unwind and relax at your own pace, the three-bedroom houseboat is ideal for weekends away with family and friends. For those who’d like to be active on their holiday, there’s swimming, fishing and kayaking on offer 
  • Explore the city’s beautiful natural environment at Albury Botanic Gardens. The most recent addition to the Gardens is the enchanting Children’s garden, home to a play space including a life-sized dinosaur, fairy temple and cubbie houses.
