48 Luxury Resorts in the Pipeline for China’s Hainan Area

Hainan Island
The idyllic Hainan Island in south China has often been referred to as the “Hawaii of China” for its sunshine, beaches, and holiday resorts.

With booming tourism growth, Hainan’s offerings continue to grow as 48 new luxury resorts – with more than 20,700 rooms – are currently in the works.

The “seven-star” Sanya Beauty Crown Hotel is currently in development, with plans for more than 6,000 rooms and serviced apartments in its nine buildings that are designed to look like trees.

The hotel is slated to open in spring 2016.

Other top hotels coming to Hainan are the Hard Rock Hotel Haikou, the St. Regis Qingshui Bay Resort, Swissotel Sanya, Submarine Hotel, and more.
