25 glorious years and 15 million visitors till date, EsselWorld is owned by Pan India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd. (PIPPL), the entertainment branch of Essel Group. Essel Group is India’s most prominent business house with a diverse portfolio of assets in media, packaging, entertainment, technology-enabled services, infrastructure development and education. Apart from just entertainment and thrill, the park and it’s environmentally conscious promoters have also silently working towards variety of green causes. With 30,000 botanical specimens, sewage treatment plants, drip irrigation system, vermiculture, plant nursery, rainwater harvesting and re-cycling plant, PIPPL has time and again, re-iterated its commitment to green causes.

A travel back in time reveals EsselWorld’s humble beginning with a handful of international rides clubbed with world class service, attractive pricing and smart marketing. Within a year, EsselWorld soon became a favorite destination for Indians across the country and was tagged as the popular picnic spot. Encouraged by an amazing acceptance of the concept with visitors swelling in to explore their first ever experience of a world-class amusement park, EsselWorld became a house-hold name for all locals as well as national and international tourists visiting the city.

As a token of gratitude and a promise to offer the best in Indian thrill and adventure in amusement parks, EsselWorld recently added a dash of new rides to the park like the Shot ‘N’ Drop (India’s tallest tower ride), Top Spin (India’s craziest ride), Monsters in the Mist (International Dark ride), Copper Chopper & Aero Swinger. With these rides, the park has yet again proved its commitment towards offering nothing but the best in international amusement park offerings.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashok Goel, Director, PIPPL said – “We are humbled by the love and affection we have received from our patrons over the years. It is this love and trust that has kept us inspired to outperform ourselves and offer the very best to our patrons. I wish to thank one and all present here today for this overwhelming acceptance and love. We promise to continue enthralling you for years to come, with the best of thrill and entertainment opportunities.”

Also, as a special gesture on their 25th anniversary, EsselWorld is proud to support the special environmental sustainability project – Icestupa, a novel initiative to combat climate change in the Himalayan desert. Through this project, engineers from the alternative school SECMOL, along with the monks of the Phyang monastery in Ladakh will commence on this winter on the project to build a series of artificial glaciers, or ice stupas; each 12 storeys high and with a capacity to hold 16 million liters of water. The water from these icestupas is expected to help the villagers take an extra crop in the crucial planting months of April and May. Once this project is scaled up, these Ice Stupas are expected to hold enough water to green 1500 acres of hard desert land. PIPPL has offered that every contribution to the Ice Stupa project in its last week between the 15th of December 2014 and 22nd December 2014 will be matched with an equal amount from their side.

PIPPL and Essel Group has come a long way in these 25 years, setting a benchmark for Indian masses, meeting their demands – said, unsaid – and providing them an all-round, full-fledged entertainment. It’s been 25 years and Gorai has always been buzzing with shrieks of excitement, tears of joy and unforgettable memories captured in pictures.
