Facebook Comp to Promote Nature Trail - Win $1,000

Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) has launched a Facebook photo competition to spark interest in its new nature trail --which is part of a tourism campaign to promote the Sunshine Coast.

The nature trail was launched last week with the help of local singer/songwriter, Kelsie Rimmer who penned a unique song about the beauty of the region which has been used in a YouTube clip.

SCDL CEO Steve Cooper said the Facebook competition is part of the online marketing strategy to 'spread the word' about the trails.

"People love to share photos on social media sites. This competition will not only encourage members of the public to start exploring the Sunshine Coast by going on the nature trail --it will also allow them to boast of their inspiring experiences by uploading images of their trip.

"We're asking them to upload the photos to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and then write a sentence telling us what they enjoyed about their trail experience. The entrant with the most votes will win $1000."

The Sunshine Coast nature trail includes experiences at Noosa National Park, Kondalilla Falls, HMAS Brisbane, Mount Coolum, Pumicestone Passage, Caloundra Coastal Park, Glass House Mountains and Buderim Forest Park.

The nature trail is the first in a series to be launched showcasing the array of exciting experiences visitors can enjoy on the Sunshine Coast including arts and culture, attractions, food and wine, markets and water fun.
