New Zoo Dwellers In Kunming Zoo

The Kunming Zoo has just introduced 20 bamboo partridges to add to its impressive display of rare wild animals.   

The Kunming Zoo is located in Tongshan, north of the urban district. The area occupies 32. 5 thousand square meters of land and is at an elevation of 1,930 meters.

This place is also known as the Luofeng Mountain because the color of the mountain is deep blue and turns lathe like the spiral hairdo.

The zoo has two main parts -the animal area and the flowers and plants area. The animal area has many different kinds of large and small animals, birds, beasts, and aquatic bird. The flowers and plants section has many oriental cherry trees, plum blossom trees, sweet-scented osmanthus, a rosa indica garden and a lawn area.

Kunming Zoo display more than 900 animals categorized into 50 types. There are Yunnan’s special animals as well as the rare and precious panda, rhinopithecus roxellanae, northeast tiger, red-crowned crane, and Yangtze alligator. There is also the elephant, Bangladesh tiger, leaf monkey, gibbon, black tail python, lesser red panda and brown neck hornbill, and peacock.
