Ashfield, a suburb of Sydney, NSW Australia will hold its first Diwali Lantern Parade and Workshop on Friday 21 October. There will be two free lantern making sessions for all ages with all materials provided at both the workshops, to be held 11am - 12.30pm or 3.30pm - 5pm. People can then join in the fun of the Diwali Parade at 5.30pm before the Tastes of Asia Food Festival starts in the Civic Centre Forecourt on Liverpool Road at 6pm. The Diwali or Festival of Lights starts on Monday 24 October.
