The Aboriginal Heritage Walk in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park offers a fascinating combination of bushwalking, Aboriginal culture, ancient rock art and spectacular harbour scenery.
Starting near Resolute Picnic Area at West Head, the 4.4km loop passes traditional Aboriginal engravings and artworks, the significant Red Hands Cave and the breathtaking West Head lookout before continuing towards Resolute Beach.
The moderately challenging trail includes steep sections, steps and uneven ground. Visitors wanting to learn more about the area's First Nations heritage can also experience the region with a First Nations cultural guide.

The park has more than 70km of walking tracks and fire trails. Options range from beginner-friendly routes such as the Place of Winds Interpretive Trail to more demanding walks including the Lyrebird Gully Circuit.
Wildlife enthusiasts may encounter lyrebirds, native birds and other Australian wildlife, while the bushland provides a refreshing escape from the city's urban environment. Berowra Valley also forms part of the Great North Walk between Sydney and Newcastle.
