Vietjet honoured in Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards 2024 in Vietnam

Vietjet has recently been honoured in two significant categories: "Outstanding Sustainable Transport" and "HR Strategy for Sustainable Development" at the Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards 2024 in Vietnam. These accolades acknowledge Vietjet’s remarkable outcomes in its sustainable development programs, green transition, low carbon strategy, and commitment to using green energy, saving and efficiency, as well as optimal and effective human resource management.

As a sustainable development enterprise, Vietjet has been dedicated to implementing numerous environmental protection and sustainable development activities since its establishment, with a focus on optimising resources. The airline has been a pioneer in implementing green initiatives, utilising a modern fleet that can achieve up to 20% fuel savings, thereby reducing emissions released into the environment. Additionally, Vietjet has optimised aircraft configuration and is at the forefront of using electronic tickets instead of paper tickets, to minimise the use of paper and ink.

Vietjet is committed to using environmentally friendly and recyclable materials, including areca, bamboo, coconut, and biodegradable packaging in its current inflight service equipment. Additionally, Vietjet has been honoured in the category of "Human Resource Strategy for Sustainable Development" due to its financial indicators, labour policies, work environment, leadership and corporate management, accolades, titles, and special achievements that have been acknowledged in the business industry. These activities demonstrate the company's responsibility to society, its employees, and their children. Vietjet currently boasts a high-quality human resource with over 6,000 employees from more than 50 countries and territories.
