Indonesia AirAsia’s inaugural service from Denpasar also touched down in Cairns last week, with flights now operating three times per week bringing more than 63,000 seats into the Cairns market over three years. The flights will open up one-stop connections between Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other Indonesian ports using Denpasar as a hub and are expected to generate up to $31 million over three years in overnight visitor expenditure for the region.
These are two of the latest services to be secured via support through the Queensland Government’s Attracting Aviation Investment Fund.
