The Mexican state of Nayarit has launched 21 new tourist routes in the ‘Nayarit Valley’ region

These trails are for adventure seekers and nature lovers provide the opportunity to swim in the region’s waterfalls, relax in traditional temazcal baths and hike, abseil and rock climb.

The diverse flora and fauna of the region can be appreciated on a 35 metre-high zip line circuit or from hanging bridges that cross the forest and ravines.

The Nayarit Valley is home to four volcanoes, which can be seen on a tour though some of the towns of the region.

These new routes also feature tours in the mountain region of Sierra del Nayar, inhabited by the Huichol, Coras, Tepehuanes and Mexicaneros people.
