Enjoy the rich, diverse nature of Sado

Sado Island is a geopark that lies 45 kilometres from the coast of Niigata Prefecture, and one of the many ways to enjoy the rich, diverse nature of Sado is to take a taraibune ride.

Taraibune, or tub boats, resemble traditional wooden buckets and were created to catch turban shells, abalone and seaweed.

Enjoy the picturesque scenery of Sado on board the ride, and discover other activities available in this mysterious part of Japan!
