New research shows half of Aussies struggle to plan the perfect family holiday

As Australian families look forward to a much-needed break to reconnect with each other, a new national survey has revealed that half of Aussie parents find it difficult to plan a holiday that the whole family will find fun.

What’s more, half of Aussies parents say they prefer to holiday without the kids.

The research also revealed much about how we have fun with our families and how holidays impact our idea of fun:
  • One in five Aussie parents (20%) don’t know what their kids like to do for fun
  • Nearly three-quarters of us (72%) wish we had more fun with our partners
  • Nearly one in four Australians (23%) feel like they’ve forgotten what they like to do for fun in the past two years
  • The most fun holiday to Aussies is a tropical holiday in a warm destination with the sea, sun and sand (32%)On the research findings, Psychologist Jaimie Bloch says that knowing what you and your loved ones want to do for fun, should be the first step in planning your ideal holiday.
