Pan Pacific Perth welcomes Jerry Fraser King of Oysters

The weekly event will see oyster lovers from all over Perth flock to enjoy Rock and Pacific oysters shucked to order by the charismatic Jerry Fraser. Growing up in Peru he is excited about the opportunity to work with long-time friend Alejandro Saravia who has curated a mouth-watering menu of ceviche from local Shark Bay fish and Abrolhos Island prawns. “Being able to work with the team from Uma, the incredible local produce they champion and pay homage to Peru with its incredible tapestry of flavours is a dream come true” enthuses Fraser.

Pan Pacific Perth and Bar Uma are proud members of Buy West Eat Best. The membership emphasises the strong commitment the hotel has to supporting local West Australian producers, farmers and fisherman. “We love the produce that is available in Western Australia and we have long had a preference for choosing local. It is now even more important given the current tough times many of our grass-roots producers are experiencing to buy west” explains Rob Weeden, Pan Pacific Perth General Manager.

The importance that Pan Pacific Perth places on the health and well-being of its guests and employees means guests will enjoy a la carte bar service along with elevated cleaning standards and protocols outlined in the recently launched Pan Pacific Hotels Group 'Pan Pacific Cares' program.

The current economic and social challenges being experienced around the world are sadly seeing many of those involved in the hospitality and tourism industry downsize or stop trade. Pan Pacific Perth has continued to buck this trend by opening new venues, renovating existing outlets and launching new ventures that is not only creating employment opportunities but giving the local East Perth community and indeed the greater Perth community reasons to get out and about and enjoy themselves.

Oysters and Ceviche with Jerry is already creating a buzz amongst the foodie community with opening night tables booking out quickly. Reservations are recommended although guests are more than welcome to walk in.

Oysters and Ceviche with Jerry is a weekly event commencing Thursday 20th August from 4pm.
