Elevate Your Adventure Travel Guide Skills

Being an Adventure Travel Guide is the best job! This role allows you to be an athlete, a diplomat, a teacher, a storyteller, a doctor, an environmentalist, and an entertainer, all at the same time. I have partnered with the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) to use my expertise in guiding for the adventure travel community, and help elevate guides to new heights.

ATTA’s new online Adventure Travel Guide Training brings additional opportunities for skill improvement, both activity-specific and universal. We developed this new track to share our wealth of knowledge with aspiring and seasoned guides from around the world, at each learner’s convenience. 

Using an innovative approach to learning five Adventure Travel Guide core competencies, you will get familiar with elements of safety and sustainability, two essential aspects of responsible contemporary guiding. Through observing meetings and briefings, fine-tuning safety reporting procedures, and practical experiences, you will explore thematic interpretation to elevate your storytelling capabilities and better connect your guests to the local nature and communities.
