Construction has begun on a new zip-line and climb structure at Perth's iconic Matagarup Bridge.
Set to open this summer, the zip-line will allow thrill seekers to travel 400 metres at up to 100 kilometres per hour from the bridge launch platform, across the Swan River, landing on the Burswood Park foreshore.
The bridge climb will include a 314-step trek up the bridge's main arch, ascending about 70 metres to the 'sky view' platform.
It's expected that the bridge climb and zip-line will open to the public in early 2021.
The Matagarup Bridge was completed in 2018, and provides pedestrian access over the Swan River, from East Perth to the Optus Stadium precinct.
