CHANGES TO TRAVEL MEDIA

The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to impact the Australian media landscape, forcing many outlets to suspend or cease operations, or change their content strategy.

Luxury Travel Media will not publish a winter edition of its flagship masthead Luxury Travel Magazine

At this stage, the spring issue of the magazine is still scheduled for late August. The publication’s website will remain live throughout.

News Corp Australia’s Escape has launched a new content strategy ‘new horizons’ to inspire readers to plan future travel while they stay at home.

This includes new features, such as Armchair Traveller where readers can enjoy a destination from their couch and Two for the Road which features personal road trip memories and adventures.

Media company ACM will temporarily suspend production of several of its non-daily newspapers until 29 June 2020. ACM’s 14 daily newspapers (including The Canberra Times, Newcastle Herald and The Border Mail) will continue to be published, along with the weekly editions of The Land.
