Vivid Sydney is just around the corner!

For 3 weeks from 24th May Sydney transforms into a city full of energy, light, sounds and ideas! There's hundreds of activities going on around the city you won't want to miss anything! Here's just a very small sample of some of the best bits (according to us!).

Pixar: 30 Years of Art & Animation
The Rocks
‘Pixar: 30 Years of Art & Animation’ is a project designed especially for Vivid Sydney 2019. The show takes audiences through the creative process from the start of Pixar to the animations now created to form many of the much-loved family favourites such as Toy Story and Finding Nemo. On top of this visitors will get a sneak peek of images from Toy Story 4 which arrives in cinemas in June this year!

Lights for the wild
Taronga Zoo
The lights at Taronga Zoo are back and as always bigger and better then ever! Your journey will begin by following the illuminated trail down through the zoo weaving in and out of a number of light sculptures including the Sumatran Tiger and her gorgeous tiger cubs, the Marine Turtle, buzzing bees and a huge gorilla family.

Underworld
Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House

This legendary British techno duo will take over the Concert Hall in the Sydney Opera House for 4 nights. Underworld have provided us with 4 decades of dancefloor filling anthems! Their performance will feature their signature mix of beats, spectacular lighting and cutting-edge electronic sounds.

Darling Harbour Darling Harbour is playing a huge part in this years Vivid Sydney showcasing a number of light sculptures themed around Space Age. Exhibitions include ‘Alien Visitor’ which is a sensory experience where anyone can make music. ‘Robot SPACELand’ can also be seen at DH. This is a 16m tall mechatronic unit called 'Ecobat'. 'Ecobats' primary purpose is to save Earth from extinction…to find out how you’ll need to head down to Cockle Bay Wharf!

Under The Harbour
Customs House, Circular Quay
Customs House is always a big attraction during Vivid Sydney and once it again the historic building front is being used as a canvas. This year the light show will tell a story of a surreal underwater encounter featuring a giant octopus, neon creatures and botanical wonderlands. This is sure to make anyone’s imagination run wild when next dipping your toes in the harbour!
