Queensland’s 2019 events calendar is set to be the state’s biggest yet, worth $800 million to the state’s economy, double its value from three years ago. 

From the quirkiest of destination events, to mega events like the Gold Coast Marathon expected to attract 28,000 participants from more than 50 countries, Queensland’s portfolio of events will continue to drive visitation, increase expenditure, support local jobs and foster community pride.

The calendar is boosted by several new events:

• Eurovision – Australia Decides (8 – 9 February)
• NASA: A Human Adventure exhibition - Queensland Museum (15 March – 7 October)
• Curiocity (15 March – 3 April)
• NRL Brisbane Magic Round (9 – 12 May)
• SportAccord (5 – 10 May)
• Outback Masters Golf (June – August)
