Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat means “four kings”, referring to the islands of Salawati, Batanta, Waigeo and Misool. These are in turn surrounded by a myriad of amazing, untouched smaller isles with picture-postcard beaches and sheer, ragged limestone cliffs. This region on the north-western tip of New Guinea comprises about 610 islands spread over 50,000 sq km of spectacular scenery. It is here that the remote islands of Misool are located - a scenic range of majestic limestone mountains with precipitous cliffs and craggy spires.
