Typical ethnic culture in Son La province introduced

“Colours of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups”
Traditional markets in the northwestern province of Son La were recreated in a series of activities in April at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay Town, Ha Noi.

Under the theme “Colours of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups”, together with daily and weekend activities and others to celebrate the Viet Nam Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day (April 19th), the highlight of the event was activities on the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30th) and May Day holidays. It will included the reinstatement of the markets of Son La mountainous province.

Accordingly, traditional foods and products of Mong, Dao, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu and Tay were introduced together with folk games and artistic performances.

Visitors can also experience specific cultures of ethnic minority groups in Son La Province such as Mong ethnic musical instruments, Pieu handkerchief, and festival of Kho Mu ethnic group.
