Rare Lynx spotting on the slopes at Big White Ski Resort Canada - a family favourite for many Australian skiers and boarders

Big White ski resort in British Columbia Canada, visited by many Australian skiers and boarders every year, had a surprise visitor on their ski slopes this week, with a rare sighting of a Lynx, who has been hanging around the resort runs.

A video was taken by Big White employee, James Ngo of the Lynx strolling across the slopes while skiers took in some turns for the day.

“It’s very unusual to see a lynx in the wild, especially this close! While lynx aren’t necessarily shy animals, they are reclusive. This particular lynx seems to be loving hanging out at Big White, he’s been spotted around the Snowpines area, as well as Black Forest and Happy Valley, and also crossing the skating rink and magic carpet areas, said Michael J Ballingall, Senior Vice President at Big White Ski Resort.
