Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2017

Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2017 with the theme “The city named President Ho Chi Minh – Glorious Inspiration” will take place from 25 to 31 January 2016 (the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month to the 4th day of the first lunar month) in Nguyen Hue Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The flower street will spread from Le Thanh Ton Street to Ton Duc Thang Street with a total length of about 720m divided into 3 main sections with themes: “Spring in the city named President Ho Chi Minh”; “Civilized – modern – love city”; and “Glorious inspiration”.

The section “Spring in the city named President Ho Chi Minh” is the entrance of the flower street with the scene of chicken family – the symbol of lunar year 2017 designed beautifully with hundreds of lanterns and numerous flower baskets.

The second section will include models of many typical architectural works of Ho Chi Minh City such as Nha Rong Wharf, Municipal People’s Committee Building, Ben Thanh Market, Phu My Bridge, etc. All are arranged on a large lotus shaped lamp support to represent the historical city developing continuously.

While, the highlight of the “Glorious inspiration” section will be a 18m long and 6m wide lotus lake made of tempered glass and surrounded by LED lamps. The specific and colorful lighting effects and bright flowers promise for a new year full of joy and prosperity.

A new feature of Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2017 is the launching of 3D camera application which allows visitors to take beautiful photographs of the flower street.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2017 is organized by People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Saigontourist. This is the 14th consecutive year the flower street on the occasion of Lunar New Year.
