TODAY SHOW BROADCASTS FROM NSW HUNTER VALLEY

This week Australia’s oldest and most iconic wine region was showcased to audiences around the nation by a TODAY Show broadcast from one of the region’s most popular attractions, the Hunter Valley Gardens.

The Hunter Valley’s diversity was profiled across the 3.5 hour show by TODAY Show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson, accompanied by Richard Wilkins and Ross Greenwood.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the broadcast was secured by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW and promoted the Hunter Valley as a must-visit destination to 1.3 million viewers around the country.

“The Hunter is the oldest and most established wine region in Australia, attracting 9.4 million international, domestic and day trip visitors in 2015,” Mr Ayres said.

Set against the breathtaking, rugged backdrop of the Brokenback Ranges, the Hunter Valley is renowned for its unique food, produce and wine, events and outdoor activities including golf, horse riding, cycling and hot air ballooning.
