Alice Springs Convention Centre wins Silver at the 2016 Australian Tourism Awards

The Alice Springs Convention Centre was awarded Silver for Best Business Events at the recent Australian Tourism Awards. The award capped of a stellar year for the Alice Springs Convention Centre who return to the winners circle in the 2015 NT Brolga Awards after a six year absence.

Newly appointed Alice Springs Convention Centre Scott Healey commented “The Red Centre is open for Business and the Silver Tourism Award justifies the standard of excellence our guests receive when attending an event”

The Alice Springs Convention Centre has been attracting business from around Australia enabling it to showcase what Alice Springs and the Red Centre has to offer especially the high standard of facilities that Lasseters the Centre of Entertainment provides. Lasseters Hotel was also a finalist in the Deluxe Accommodation category at the 2016 Australian Tourism Awards

A number of new initiatives have been launched at the Alice Springs Convention Centre including a reactivation of its offsite catering where conference guests can enjoy experiences that are unique to the Red Centre.

Tourism numbers are up on previous years and with close collaboration with the Northern Territory Convention Bureau conference numbers are achieving record levels.
