Eighteen regions of New Zealand will be ready to book business when CINZ MEETINGS 2015 opens in Auckland on 10 June.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says this year’s MEETINGS exhibitors stretch right across New Zealand, from the far north to the deep south, showcasing accommodation, venues, attractions, production and theming companies.

“Our two pavilions at ASB Showgrounds will be packed with inspiration for those planning their next event, conference or incentive.”

Over 180 exhibitors, inlcuding 20 new exhibitors will be on show in 2015. More of New Zealand’s regions are joining MEETINGS, including Northland and Oamaru, while both Hamilton-Waikato and Wairarapa are upping their presence this year.

Last year was Destination Wairarapa’s first time at MEETINGS, sharing a booth on the Wellington stand. General Manager David Hancock says the business received convinced them that investing in their own stand in 2015 would be well worthwhile.

“Wairarapa’s booth will still very importantly be positioned adjacent to the Wellington stand; Wellington city, complements Wairarapa’s village, wine and food, rural, coast and outdoors product line up.

“Buyers interested in products like wineries, outdoor activities, venues with a difference, transport operators and resorts and spas should definitely be talking to us,” he says.

Oamaru last exhibited at MEETINGS in 2009, under the banner of Tourism Waitaki.

“This year we’re back with more on offer than ever before,” says Metka Conlan, Oamaru Convention Bureau Executive.

“The Oamaru Convention Bureau is teaming up with the Oamaru Opera House and we are keen to meet with buyers who are wanting to know more about this exciting destination - that’s just a little bit different.”

She says Oamaru is a gorgeous harbour town that showcases the best collection of 19th century architecture in New Zealand

“The town has come a long way in the last six years in terms of business events.”
MEETINGS’ Luxury Collection will showcase the finest end of the New Zealand business events market with everything from boutique lodges to helicopter tours, and gourmet catering.

New exhibitors in The Luxury Collection for 2015 include Kinloch Lodge by Lake Taupo and Treetops Lodge, Rotorua, Safari Hospitality, Time Unlimited, creators of personalised cultural tours of the Auckland region, and Helicopter Corporation.

Registrations are open for day buyers to attend MEETINGS. As well as a valuable opportunity to meet all of New Zealand under one roof, day buyers are also invited to enjoy a gourmet lunch and speaker showcase courtesy of Millennium Hotels and Celebrity Speakers.
