Top 5 Things to do in Vail, Colorado

1. Visit Vail Mountain.

Winter months bring exceptional skiing on the largest single mountain in North America, renowned for its 5389 skiable acres of terrain. Vail Mountain offers well-groomed runs for skiers of all levels. During the summer, visitors can take scenic hikes and mountain bikes on the mountain. The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are located at the base and feature plants from all over the world.

2. Festivals.

Vail hosts festivals all year long, from concerts to culinary events, all set among the beautiful Vail Mountain scenery. Some events include the Hot Summer Nights concert, Bach on the Rocks, Snowchella, Taste of Vail, Vail Soul Music Festival, Gourmet on Gore, and Vail Snow Daze.

3. Play golf at the Red Sky Ranch Golf Course.

Easily one of the most picturesque courses in North America, Red Sky Ranch offers two Par 72 courses. The 7113 yard Tom Fazio designed course has incredible views of the Back Bowls and beautiful rolling hills. The 7580 yard Greg Norman designed course offers more of a wilderness golf experience and stunning sunsets over Castle Peak.

4. Booth Falls Trail.

One of the most popular Vail hiking trails passes by the Falls, one of the few in Vail Valley. The Falls are located about halfway through the trail a few miles in. Visitors might be tempted to stop and turn around after witnessing the 80-foot waterfall, but just beyond the Falls is a gorgeous meadow surrounded by the Gore Range Mountains that is not to be missed.

5. Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Eagle County.

The best views of Eagle River Valley can be found while soaring in a colorful hot air balloon! Most companies who offer rides also offer hot chocolate or a champagne toast while in the air.
