The 17 hot springs of Hakone

“Hakone” is famous for its hot spring, and since it has 17 different kinds of hot springs, “Hakone 17 hot springs” became a name that refers to them. 

The oldest one is “Yumoto hot spring”, accessible from Hakone Yumoto station. It is believed that the hot spring was discovered in Nara Period (721-748) and it is now a hot visiting spot as the gateway to Hakone. 

There are cafes and shops, making it a great area to visit.
