Michelin Plate Restaurant Yamazato Hosts Born Premium Sake Dinner

The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato—which was awarded the Michelin Plate designation for the second year in a row in the Michelin Guide Thailand, making it one of only 5 Japanese restaurants among the 77 restaurants listed in the Michelin Plate category—hosts Born Premium Sake Dinner paired with multi-course Kaiseki dinner on 1 November 2019 from 18:30.

Born sake is among the best sakes produced anywhere in Japan. It is made by the famous Katoukichibee Shouten brewery at Sabae in the Fukui prefecture, which was established in 1860. The brewery uses only traditional methods and exclusive ingredients to brew premium junmai sake, including the crystal pure waters of the Hakusan mountain peaks, highly polished yamada nishiki and gohyakumangoku rice grains and a time-honoured home-cultured yeast.

Now the rich flavours of Born can be appreciated at a special multi-course Kaiseki dinner at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato in which delicious seasonal dishes are paired with the brewery’s best sakes.

Appetizers are served with the flagship Born Premium Sparkling Junmai-Daiginjo, a crab creamy hot soup with grilled sesame tofu, mushroom, honewort and a hint of yuzu arrives with Born the Earth, and a selection of succulent sashimi pairs with Born’s Ginsen Tokubetsu Junmai. A grilled offering of Hobayaki-style cutlass fish is complimented by Born Kantsubaki and a simmered dish of duck meat jibuni is matched with Born Dreams Come True Junmai-Daiginjo/Yume wa Masayume. A steamed rice dish of salmon roe pickled in soy sauce pairs with Born Chogin to round off a truly wonderful meal.

The Born Sake Dinner at Yamazato Restaurant takes place on Friday 1 November 2019 from 18:30 – 22:30. Price is Baht 5,200++ per person. Early Bird bookings made by 28 October 2019 at special price offer of Baht 4,700++ per person.
