Record Attendance at TravMedia's Third Annual IMM USA 2019 Event in New York

More than 700 media and PR industry representatives attended TravMedia's third annual International Media Marketplace (IMM) USA, on Thursday, January 24, 2019, breaking new attendance levels for the global event program, now in its seventh year.
IMM USA connected 409 North American media with 303 PR representatives of 286 international travel brands in the River Pavilion, on the top floor of the Jacob K. Javits Center. Collectively they participated in 12,972 pre-scheduled, one-on-one appointments – plus 4.5 hours of open networking which took place across multiple catered events.
Our Premier Partner, Visit California, showcased more than 40 destinations, products and experiences in the 'Visit California Pavilion', more than 40 partners exhibited in the Destination Canada Pavilion, and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) continued their support of the IMM program with 21 CLIA Members joining a dedicated 'Cruise Capsule' within the event.
More than 700 guests at the sit-down lunch enjoyed a panel discussion on “Tourism Diversity,” chaired by George W. Stone, Editor in Chief of National Geographic Travel. A lively discussion ensued from panelists Norie Quintos (Editor at Large, Nat Geo Travel Media), Heather Greenwood Davis (Contributing Editor, National Geographic Traveler and Globe and Mail columnist), Glynn Pogue (Nat Geo Contributor) and Chris Heywood (Senior Vice President, Global Communications, NYC & Company).

Nick Wayland, CEO and Founder of TravMedia, said, "The success of our third annual IMM USA 2019 event would not have been possible without the record media and industry in attendance, and the incredible support of Premier Partner, Visit California, as well as major pavilion partners Cruise Lines International Association and Destination Canada who combined brought over 100 exhibitors to this year's IMM.”
