Dubbo has taken out the top gong for Best Regional Holiday Destination and the Vivid Sydney Festival and Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks both tied for Best Family Event. Sydney was voted the Best City in Australia and Thredbo in the NSW Snowy Mountains was voted the Best Family Ski Resort in Australia.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said the accolades show that NSW is a firm favourite for families.
“NSW is full of wonderful experiences for families to discover and enjoy together, whether visitors are after a beach, bush, snow, city or Outback experience – we have it all – together with an amazing calendar of family friendly events,” Ms Chipchase said.
Comprising 20 categories, the 2017 Best of Family Travel Awards were voted for by more than 40,000 readers across Out & About with Kids’ print and online audience, including digital subscribers and Facebook friends and followers.
