Blue Lagoon Cruises' Orchid Cabin guests are now welcomed onboard for their cruise with a new Fijian scent.
The Nama, white gingerlily and mint scent has been created exclusively by Nama of Fiji. A key ingredient is nama organic sea grapes, a superior form of sea grapes sourced from the pristine blue lagoon waters of the Yasawa Islands.
South Sea Cruises Director of Sales and Marketing Wayne Deed says, "We've always welcomed our Orchid Cabin guests with a gift and the new exclusive scent is a nice way to not only welcome them onboard, but also to the cruise itinerary that lies ahead. The culture, local dishes and experiences of the remote Yasawa Island group is a highlight of the cruise itinerary."
To complement the new exclusive scent Fiji Princess will now also feature Nama of Fiji in the onboard cabin amenities - shampoo, conditioner and shower gel - in each of the cabins.
"The Yasawa Islands are the jewel in the crown of Fiji Princess' itinerary, so it's fitting that key ingredients of the new scent and onboard amenities are sourced from the islands," Wayne says.
The production of Nama of Fiji product also has an intrinsic link to the local area. A nama farming project is underway that involves working closely with marine experts and villagers to ensure a sustainable supply of nama as well as a revenue source for the villages.
Debra Sadranu, Managing Director of Essence of Fiji Ltd is very excited to develop this signatory scent exclusive for Blue Lagoon Cruises. An exotic infusion inspired by the diverse flora and fauna of Fiji. Recently launched Nama of Fiji premium skincare range is used in Senikai Spa treatments on board the cruise ship. We value our partnership with Blue Lagoon Cruises sharing their values of social responsibilities to the Yasawan people she says. View a short video clip of Nama of Fiji;
