SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW NOW ON

The 50th Sydney International Boat Show has sailed into Darling Harbour’s new International Convention Centre, with close to one thousand boats on exhibit.

The five-day event is estimated to inject $20 million into the NSW visitor economy and is the largest recreational marine event in the southern hemisphere.

Visitors to the show can see a huge range of boats, and all the equipment and gear to go with them.

With water safety a major focus, the event also coincides with the opening of Phase Two of the NSW Government’s Boating Now infrastructure package to deliver better boating facilities.

NSW Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight Melinda Pavey said, “This is the latest instalment in a $70 million package, with applications from councils and community groups closing on 20 August.”

The Sydney International Boat Show is on until 7 August.
