Millennial 20/20 Sydney, the ground-breaking global summit which explores how the millennial mindset is shaping the next generation of business has announced their impressive event program, 14-15 November 2017 at Carriageworks, Sydney.

Following successful events in London, New York and Singapore, Millennial 20/20 Sydney will uncover the spending habits and ethics that drive the economic power of the millennial generation, and how the modern mindset is impacting every generation of consumer.

The event has attracted heavy-weight Australian and international brands from well-established corporations to modern start-ups, with speakers from CommBank, Facebook, Telstra, AirBnB, and eBay already confirmed.

Lauren Greschner, Event Head – Millennial 20/20 Sydney, Hannover Fairs Australiasaid that as businesses are facing a more-complex and ever-evolving consumer in the millennials, it requires them to think of innovation, disruption and technology as key components of their future.

"Millennial 20/20 Sydney will address the consumer challenges via multiple conference tracks, an inspirational playground of immersive showcases, a curated exhibition of commerce partners and a series of networking opportunities.

"The summit will delve into more than just the millennial consumer eating avocado for breakfast. Delegates will hear from Australian business leaders on how the millennial mindset, created by modern technology, global events and the 24-hour news cycle, impacts the human behaviour behind every generation from baby boomers to Gen Z.

"Millennials are driven by authenticity, connection, creativity, trust, convenience and digitalisation – this will forever change how businesses attract and engage with their consumers.

"Unlimited data means millennials are the most understood generation in history, but understanding how to use the data for tangible business ideas that speak to consumers is the challenge that faces companies around Australia, and the world," said Ms Greschner.

Over 120 speakers will come together for two days of in-depth talks and demos about how the millennial mindset is transforming business across finance, innovation, marketing and advertising, retail, travel, hospitality and lifestyle, food and beverage, e-commerce, and fashion and beauty.

Millennial 20/20 Sydney speakers include:
  • Michael Pearson, ANZ Managing Director, Expedia
  • Tiziana Bianco, General Manager, Innovation Labs, Commbank

Rupa Ganatra, Founding Partner of Millennial 20/20 says the event was started with a firm belief that being a millennial is a mindset rather than a demographic.

"This mindset extends into consumer patterns and behaviours that are having an evolutionary impact on businesses and brands across the globe.

"Furthermore, over half of new businesses are being started by millennials. The generation is well-educated, entrepreneurial and digitally-savvy, and they thrive working in fast-paced business environments, solving existing challenges, and creating new business models.

"Whether brands are looking at millennials as a consumer or as an employee, they cannot ignore the changing behaviours that are impacting every aspect of business," said Ms Ganatra.

Millennial 20/20 Sydney will be held at Carriageworks, Sydney, on the 14-15 November.
