Snowtunes festival expands and unloads super-chill 2017 line-up

After a chill festival experience? How does this sound: packing up your warm clothes and ski gear and spending a weekend in the Snowy Mountains with some of your favourite Aussie artists.

Well, then Snowtunes is right up your alley. The festival is back for the third year running and
in 2017 it's expanding to two nights and two stages of live music this September.

Canberra stars SAFIA will be headlining the first night after a day of stacked sets from Drapht, Northeast Party House, Paces, Thelma Plum, Elk Road and Trophy Eyes

Gang of Youths' rock heroics will bring Snowtunes to a close on Day 2 but not before big performances from DZ Deathrays, Tkay Maidza, Skegss, Nina Las Vegas and current Unearthed Feature Artist: Ruby Fields.

You'll be enjoying all that music action against the Instagram-ready backdrop of Lake Jindabyne, nestled between the famous ski slopes of Perisher and Thredbo. I mean, just look at the prettiness!

Following a controversial launch in 2015, Snowtunes festival had a change of operations behind the scenes for last year's edition featuring Ball Park Music, What So Not, and Hot Dub Time Machine.

Check out this year's day-by-day line-up below and the 18+ event has got some very reasonably priced pre-sale weekend passes on offer. Hike on over to the Snowtunes website for more info.
