The 2017 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE17) has wrapped up in Sydney, attracting more international delegates than any other trade show held at ICC Sydney since its opening in December.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said the country’s largest annual tourism trade event has provided a direct injection of $10 million into the NSW economy.
“With more than 700 international travel buyers from over 30 countries flocking to Sydney to see some of NSW’s best tourism experiences, ATE17 was a standout event which successfully showcased NSW as Australia’s premier tourism and events State,” Ms Chipchase said.
“From our world-class food & wine showcases to our awe-inspiring media and trade familiarisation program, we are proud of what we have achieved at ATE17 to ensure international travel buyers return home inspired by NSW’s tourism offerings and excited to sell our many products and experiences to travellers.”
