Registration is OPEN for Mekong Tourism Forum 2017

MIST, the Mekong Innovative Startup Tourism accelerator program, a joint initiative of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this weekend held its first regional startup conference and pitching competition

Over 250 startups from eligible countries Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam applied, and 20 competed in the semi finals in Siem Reap for 12 coveted spots to compete in the finals in Luang Prabang on June 6th during the 2017 Mekong Tourism Forum. To our knowledge, Mekong Tourism by also putting a strong emphasise on socio-economic factors such as contribution to responsible tourism development of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), employment of local people especially women, and inclusive growth. It was a great way to spend a weekend seeing these passionate young entrepreneurs make their pitches and showcase their new ventures. Make sure you witness their passion and look for potential partnerships with these companies that could build your business. Tickets are getting tight, so act now.
