The 2017 Spring Flower Street opened on January 26 in Thu Dau Mot City, the central province of Binh Duong, under the theme ‘Binh Duong – 20 years of development’.
Spanning over 200m, the street was decorated to celebrate the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) and 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and 20th anniversary of Binh Duong province.
The street, located in Hung Vuong street, has been divided into four main areas, featuring the beauty and significance of the traditional Tet festival as well as the process of building and developing the province over the past 20 years.
The Spring Flower Street will be open to people and visitors until February 2 (the sixth day of the first lunar month). The organising board has also arranged areas for buying souvenirs, writing calligraphy, taking photos and painting portraits.
On the same day, the Spring Flower and Spring Press Festivals themed ‘Celebrating the Party – Celebrating the Spring of the Rooster’ officially opened at the Binh Duong province’s Cinema Cultural Centre.
Lasting until February 2, the Spring Flower Festival features 1,500 plants and flowers collected inside and outside the province as well as 12 pavilions displaying decorations of the Ornamental Creatures Associations in the province.
The Spring Press Festival features 350 spring publications released by both central and local press agencies around the country, introducing the achievements of the country and localities in all fields: politics, economy, society and defence and security.
