COSPLAY COMPETITION RETURNS FOR GOULBURN'S COMIC CON

Cosplay involves dressing up as a character from a video game or comic book and this subcultural phenomenon is set to be staged en masse in Goulburn.

Presented by the local library, the colourful and imaginative Comic Con Festival is a fantastic day full of all things comic and pop culture.

A live Quidditch match, superhero wrestling and a Star Wars vs Star Trek debate are just some of the events set to enthral fans at the Veolia Arena.

Special guests on the day include Thor of Oz and Rae Johnston (Wonder Woman), who will be running workshops, judging the cosplay competition, moderating the debate, and also available for photos.

There will be more than 20 pop culture market stalls, a superhero henna tattoo station, live music from Meri Amber, and opportunities to meet and speak with comic artists and illustrators.

The Goulburn Comic Con will be held on Saturday, 18 March 2017. Entry is free and pre-registration is available for cosplay entrants and workshop participants.

For more information contact the Goulburn Mulwaree Library or check out the Goulburn Comic Con Facebook page.
