The doors have now closed on Luxperience for another year and the organisers have deemed it the strongest and most successful yet. It had its largest attendance ever this year with over 1100 visitors, maintaining its continued year on year growth trend since its inception.
Celebrating its fifth year, Luxperience 2016, and its younger sibling Events by Luxperience, continues to be Australasia's leading luxury and experiential travel trade exhibition and this year's forum (18-21 September) attracted almost 300 exhibitors from around the world with an impressive 19 per cent increase in floor space on last year.
The event also enjoyed an increase of over 52 per cent in new exhibitors giving the over 450 elite travel buyers from Australia and key global markets the opportunity to build new connections and business partners. There was a 20 per cent increase in overall buyer registrations for this year, with 60 per cent of these registrations attending Luxperience for the first time.
EventsA by Luxperience, in its second year, is gaining strength and recognition as there was an overall increase of 20 per cent in business event specialists and corporate buyers and the global MICE buyers have increased by an incredible 950 per cent.
Revitalising the Thought Leaders Forum and Welcome Cocktail Party, held at The Star Event Centre, proved a winner and set the scene for the rest of the show. As a result, interest in attending next year is already at an all-time high with many exhibitors expected to return and many wishing to take a bigger presence at the exhibition.
To continue the Luxperience innovativeness, it was announced at yesterday's It's a Wrap party that next year's theme is to be transformational which is reflected in the positioning for 2017: “Through a New Lens”
In addition to continually evolving the event year on year to improve the business connections for delegates, Luxperience will focus on enhancing and strengthening the Luxperience presence to ensure the event is not only the best luxury and experiential travel trade event in the Southern Hemisphere but the best in the world.
“Travel is a driver which is inspired by the beauty of the world and has the potential to transforms people's lives,” says Michelle Papas, Luxury Brand Strategist for Luxperience. “We will be enhancing this positioning by aligning our activities with other like-minded drivers within the luxury and high end lifestyle market.”
Due to the closure of Australian Technology Park, Luxperience 2017 is being held at a new venue Carriageworks, Sydney from 17 to 20 September 2017.
