Fans are invited to join a special welcome home celebration for Australia’s Paralympians in Sydney next month.
The Team touched down at Sydney Airport yesterday fresh from their top five medal finish at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
NSW Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres encouraged members of the public to come down in green and gold to congratulate the superstars on their achievements.
“Athletes in the Australian Paralympic Team have broken four world records and achieved an overall 81 medals, deserving nothing short of a heroes’ welcome back to Australia,” Mr Ayres said.
“City of Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore and I will host a special celebration to welcome home 50 of our Paralympic champions on Tuesday 4 October from 12.30pm at Martin Place.”
