Raffles Mooloolaba Resort - with all the comforts of home

Raffles Mooloolaba Resort
The Raffles Mooloolaba Resort Apartments were a pleasant discovery for my wife and myself on our recent holiday on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. We found them to be the ideal place to stay in idyllic Mooloolaba and explore this stunning part of the Queensland's coastline and hinterland.

The 4 star Raffles Mooloolaba Resort has 30 modern and inviting fully self contained spacious and comfortable one or two bedroom apartments.

Our carpeted deluxe apartment had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining areas. They were all clean and tidy, and had everything to make it feel like a home away from home. It had pleasant views over the ocean from the lounge and balcony, which had an outdoor table and chairs.

Lounge area
The lounge area had comfortable seating, DVD & CD player, and TVwith Austar – Fox Sports & movie channels. The dining area had a dining table and chairs. There was wireless high speed internet and reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans in the lounge and bedrooms.

Our master bedroom had a comfortable queen bed and LCD TV on the wall. Their was an ensuite bathroom next to the master bedroom with a double corner spa bath, as did all the other apartments. It was good to relax and rejuvenate in the spa bath after we were out and about all day sightseeing. Quality linen and towels were provided.

Kitchen
The bathrooms and the kitchen had lovely granite and marble finishes. The well equiped kitchen came with European appliances, including a dishwasher, oven and full size fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and microwave made easy work of making snacks. There was also a washing machine and dryer available to use in the apartment.

The Raffles Mooloolaba Resort also has available several luxury penthouse apartments with exclusive rooftop terraces including BBQ and outdoor furniture.

I enjoyed a swim in the outdoor pool, which is heated from April to November, and a relax in the outdoor spa. There was also an outdoor BBQ area available for guests to use. However, we did not use this, as we cooked in our apartment and went out for meals.

Undercover parking for our car was available in the basement, with access to our apartments floor by a lift.

Dining area
The Raffles Mooloolaba Resort is in a prime location only one block from the the sandy Mooloolaba beach. It is at one end of the main shopping esplanade that fronts this beach, with its abundance of restaurants, alfresco cafes and boutiques. At the other end of this street is the famous Mooloolaba Surf Club, Underwater World SEA LIFE Aquarium, and marina. The Resort is opposite a large Coles supermarket which we found ideal to stock up the kitchen in our apartment. We drove to the nearby major attractions of Australia Zoo and the Ginger Factory.

Bob James, the friendly onsite manager of Raffles Mooloolaba Resort, helped us with maps and directions to the various tourist attractions we visited. He also gave us helpful information when we had troubles with the engine of our car.

Raffles Mooloolaba Resort is great value and in a fantastic location within walking distance to all that Mooloolaba has to offer. It is the ideal place to stay, and we look forward to staying there again the next time we holiday on the Sunshine Coast.
