The Pegasus Apart'Hotel - a delight to stay in

Pegasus Apart'Hotel
The Pegasus Apart'Hotel is an awesome place to stay in Melbourne. I had the privilege of staying there when I was recently attending an exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is a very new apartment hotel with modern crisp decor that makes it a delight to stay in.

The reception staff provided a warm and professional welcome, so it was not long before I was on my way to my apartment on the 21st floor.

A range of apartment styles is available to choose from at the Pegasus Apart'Hotel, including Studio Queen & Studio Twin, Studio Select, Two Bedroom Select and Family Themed 2 Bedroom Suites. These family suites look to be ideal for families with young children to stay in, as the children's bedroom is decorated in a choice of Jungle, Super Games, Circus or Racing themes and has its own TV equipped with interactive games.

Pegasus Apart'Hotel bedroom
I was fortunate to stay in a 2 bedroom apartment, with my large comfortable queen sized bed in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom was set up as on office, which I used as my walk-in wardrobe and dressing room.

The large open plan living room had a dining table and chairs, lounge and large flat screen LCD TV. Large windows gave wonder views to the city.

Pegasus Apart'Hotel kitchen
The smart black and white kitchen area was well-equipped with a large 200L fridge, 2 burner gas top, microwave oven, plates & cutlery, pots & pans and iron & board, and a security safe. I could have cooked some great meals with all the cooking gear provided, but I chose to eat out. I just made my cups of tea and coffee with the kettle provided.

I set the air-conditioning to warm up the apartment and it did a good job on the cold Melbourne wintery nights.

The separate bathroom had a good shower, basin and toilet with a nice range of complimentary amenities.

It was good that Wi-Fi was complimentary. It was fast and did not drop out any time I used it. I spent my time hovering between my laptop and watching the Foxtel channels on the TV.

Pegasus Apart'Hotel breakfast
The Pegasus Restaurant serves breakfast each day from from 6am. I enjoyed the variety of hot and cold food available each morning on a self-selection basis. Eggs were cooked in your preferred way by the chef on duty.

The Restaurant is open for Dinner Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm, however I did not dine there as I was still out and about in the city. The Pegasus Bar is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm for a light meal and a drink.

Pegasus Apart'Hotel pool & gym
For recreation there is a large indoor heated pool, with attached large jacuzzi, and a well equipped gym for guests to use. I used the pool and jacuzzi and found it a good way to relax after a busy day in fast paced Melbourne. There were other users in the pool at the same time, but they were no bother as the pool was so large with plenty of room to move around.

The Pegasus Apart'Hotel is an ideal base not only for the leisure traveller on holidays, but also the business traveller. The Pegasus has two rooms and an outdoor terrace, which are ideal for small to midsize events and meetings. For team building activities there is convenient access to the Gym and Pool Area.

Pegasus Apart'Hotel living area
The Pegasus Apart'Hotel is located in a quiet street on the edge of the CBD in Melbourne. It is near a tram stop to enable transport on the free CBD trams network, and near a metro underground train station. A free shuttle bus has a drop off and pick up service available at the Pegasus to and from Spencer Street Station that links up with the Skybus service to the Melbourne airport.

Very close to The Pegasus Apart'Hotel is the historical Queen Victoria Markets. These market stalls sell a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegies, cheese, meat, clothing souveniers and plants. Tasty food from many nations is available from stalls, food vans or shops to eat for a quick snack or meal. The nearby Flagstaff Gardens provide a green grass space to relax in the city.
