IHG ahead of the MICE game with innovative social media platform and state-of-the-art AV equipment

Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels in New Zealand are using state-of-the-art AV equipment and interactive social media platform Shuttlerock to engage conference groups in an innovative and exciting way.

Combining the latest audio visual projection and interactive technology on offer at properties in Auckland and Queenstown with the market-leading innovation of Shuttlerock has led to the development of a dedicated landing page for meetings, conventions and business events clients.

Shuttlerock enables the properties to interact with and share user-generated content, using the platform to share customer pictures, videos and comments uploaded to social media such as twitter, tumblr, facebook and Instagram. With the roll-out of the technology in Auckland, Queenstown and Rotorua across Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands, IHG is leading the way in customer engagement and social media innovation in Australasia.

The potential for delegate engagement is enormous: conference attendees can arrive each morning or at break times to see their photos of the day, off-site activities or team-building moments being featured for all to see via Airmedia on meeting room screens.

Organisers will no longer require a professional photographer to catch the highlights of a conference. Hotels are able to fully customise each page with the event’s logo or corporate colours, or otherwise provide all the information required for co-ordinators to set it up themselves. Each event page can be password protected so it is ‘exclusive’ for the conference, and links can be shared with delegates or businesses when everyone returns to their desks.

For further information please contact visit Crowne Plaza Auckland, Crowne Plaza Queenstown or Holiday Inn Auckland Airport at CINZ Meetings.
