May and June are a perfect time to visit the Noosa region and whether you want to relax, play, eat, drink or party, there are plenty of reasons to visit with great festivals and events and a choice of sensational Noosa Alive deals.

The Australian Body Art Carnivale (May 11-12) will have you mesmerised when some of the best body artists head to the hinterland town of Eumundi for this festival that uses the human body as their inspiration and their canvas.

The Noosa International Food & Wine Festival which takes place the following weekend (May 16-19) celebrates ten years with four days of the best in food, wine and entertainment. New this year are sunset concerts at Noosa National Park Lookout overlooking Laguna Bay, followed by dinner at one of Noosa's finest restaurants; Barefoot Beach Marquee; Edible Music Gala Opening Night with 10 of the world's best chefs, cooking as the Queensland Virtuosi Orchestra performs; and Noosa High Tea by the river with Adriano Zumbo. Timomatic takes to the main stage on Sunday May 19 and the line-up includes The Fabulous Singlettes and Relish, with the music going from 3.30-7.30pm.

The Noosa Long Weekend Festival (June 14 - 23) is one of Australia's favourite regional cultural events and celebrates 10 days of music, theatre, dance, literature, forums, film, food, visual arts and workshops.  Opening the Noosa Long Weekend over 2 nights is Bobby Fox, star of Jersey Boys Australia, in 4 seasons in 1 night. The latest comedy from national playwright and Noosa local David Williamson, Happiness, will be presented by Sydney's Ensemble Theatre Company, and the legendary Robyn Archer will perform a French cabaret feast. Hear Michael Leunig in conversation with Peter Thompson, and new to this year's festival will be a comedy club staged over four nights.
