"A Chorus Line" Sold Out At Wollongong

South of Sydney in the Illawarra, the Arcadians Theatre Group is presenting the musical “A Chorus Line”.

“A CHORUS LINE” is a stunning musical-verite about a chorus audition for a Broadway musical. It tells of the achingly poignant ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies to land a job in the show, and is a powerful metaphor for all human aspiration. Memorable musical numbers include "I Can Do That", "At the Ballet", "Dance: Ten; Looks: Three", "The Music and the Mirror", "What I Did for Love", "One (Singular Sensation)" and "I Hope I Get It". It is a brilliantly complex fusion of dance, song and compellingly authentic drama. The show was instantly recognized as a classic.

The musical will be performed by the Arcadians Theatre Group at The Arcadians' Miners Lamp Theatre:- It opens tonight Friday 17th June at 8pm, and continue on Saturday 18th June 2pm & 8pm, Friday 24th 8pm, Saturday 25 2pm & 8pm, Sunday 26th 2pm, Friday 1st July 8pm, and Saturday 2 July 2pm and 8pm.

The small cast, including our daughter Emma, have been rehearsing since the start of the year for this great musical production. The production team of “A Chorus Line” includes Director/Choreographer - Greg Shand, Producer/Asst Director - Malcolm White, Stage Manager - Cilla Aslanidis, Musical Director – Vocal -Adam Vujic,. Musical Director – Orchestra - Peter Copeland, Lighting/Sound Design - David Greer, Set Design - Dennis Paterson, Greg Shand, Malcolm White, Costume  Design - Nyla Collis,

The good news, or bad news, depending if you are one of the lucky ones who already have a ticket to the show, is that “A Chorus Line” is sold out. There are no waiting lists, so the best thing to do is for people still wanting tickets to turn up at the performance and sit and wait in the foyer for spare tickets.  People had success doing this during the “Annie” season.  However, they cannot guarantee there will be any tickets available.  If anyone has spare tickets to sell it is recommended they join the Facebook group and try and sell them that way.
